I created this resource for BTEC Business Studies, for students to know how to answer an exam question, as to what the command word is asking them to do!
It contains all BTEC exam command words for all LEVELS! It’s designed to be used as a display, for students to easily see and recognise what each command word means, allowing them to specifically approach and answer the question in an appropriate way.
The commands words are categorised into different colours as per grade level. So, Pass level is green, merit level is orange and distinction level is blue. Also included is a title board display sign and poster.
It suggested you print the exam commands words at 2 slides per page. To fit on a display board and to save on printing and paper. If possible laminate the slides, to get maximum use!

I created this resource for Year 9 RE, but it could be used for PSHEC/Citizenship for all levels. The lesson focuses on capital punishment, giving students an inisght to this type of punishement and how it’s used around the world and what different religions view points are. Ready to go and fully adaptable! Also, included are all mentioned resources and full lesson plan, explaining all!
Includes fully differentiated Lesson Objectives/Outcomes based on Bloom’s Taxonomy; allowing students to take charge of their learning by focusing on what they want to achieve by the end of the lesson.
Includes, an interactive starter, with music to help stimulate students learning, key information; facts figure, religious view points, students will need to make note of these for the main activity. Check your understanding quiz - AfL. Main task, is getting students to write a speech… It’s debate day! Students are members of parliament and have to either argue for or against bringing capital punishment back into UK law. With full support sheet and parking criteria to allow for peer marking. A HMWK task, where students have to create a Twitter feed, imagining they are on death row.

Students can use this in independent, paired and grouped worked activities to assess their learning (AfL). I would display these around the classroom and have an A3 sheet on each student desk so that they can refer to it when completing tasks. Students should mainly use this to think more when completing tasks in lessons or even homework tasks at school or to wider their knowledge of specific topics. Hope this helps your students learning. I created this resource, for work experience students undertaking a placement. It is essentially a full comprehensive guide for students undertaking a placement. It contains everything a student needs to do and know during the lead-up, while on placement and after their experience. A 26-page booklet – essential for any work experience student!

I created this resource for BTEC L3 Business Studies; Unit 3 – Personal and Business Finance. It is a self-assessment checklist, where students can track their learning at the time of review.
It’s suggested to use this resource in conjunction with the ‘BTEC L3 Business Studies: Unit 3 - Personal and Business Finance Independent Study/Revision Booklet!’ Resource, for students to achieve their best, in successfully revising and being prepared for their exam!
This resource, is colour coded as per learning aim with the same colours as the study/revision guide, for easy use and clarification. Each learning aim; A, B, C, D, E and F, has its own section, where students can RAG rate statements that they should know for the exam and whilst revising. The RAG rate section is colour coded; red, orange and green for easy use. It’s designed to help students focus their revision and studying with what they need more practice and learning on.

This resource is designed to support SEND/disadvantaged and low attaining students with their learning by visually breaking it down into small achievable chunks, in the form of now, next, then, which is research and evidence informed strategy. This resource also includes space to write the lesson outcomes and how the individual students will be able to achieve these, with additional space for them to reflect on their learning in the lesson. I have used this resource in the classroom for individual students who need some extra support/scaffolding and it is always well received.
You can either print these (I print two to a page and the slide is set to A4) to be used by the individual and so they can stick in the books or print and them laminate to reuse again. The resource is editable to edit the subject and information etc.

This resource is designed to help you get to know students and for them to tell you more about them. It is a 4 page booklet with a title page and three activity pages. The first two pages provide opportunities for students to tell you a bit more about them, such as things they like, three words to describe them, their superpower, favourite food and colour etc. The second gives space for students to tell you things they want you to know, information and details about their family, school life, achievements and any questions they have for their form tutor that they may be to nervous to ask in front of a full class. The last page is designed to be an acrostic poem with your tutors name - ‘In 123 we are’, with the opportunity for students to fill in and decorate with a doodle border.
This can be printed as a booklet with 2 pages on a page so it folds and flows as a 4 page booklet. The best way to print this is within the booklet settings of printer software/systems. It is also completely editable for you to customize to your school and needs etc.

This resource is a complete template for a 5 min lesson plan that I have created. While it is designed to be quick it is also designed to support you with your lesson planning and thinking behind the purpose of each aspect, task and question within the lesson. The format follows the lesson cycle - Connect, Engage, Activate, Demonstrate and Consolidate. There is also space for lesson outcomes, specific questions that you want to pose/ask during the lesson, adaptive teaching opportunities (SEND, PP, EAL etc and Challenges for higher order/attaining thinking). There is also space for assessment for learning, do it now ans consolidation activities, lesson activities and class details, such as date, class, subject and lesson title or focus. This resource is designed as a back to school activity as an icebreaker for you and students to get to know one another in a fun and engaging way. It comes with 100+ ‘this or that’ options, such as pizza or pasta, night or day, cold or hot, beach or pool… the list is endless! Hours of fun options which you can use whenever needed as it can be used as a fun activity starter, plenary, on the last day of term, in an assembly… the options of use are endless too! Can be used for any aged students or teachers in any school or setting!
The suggested way to use is to split the classroom into two and have students move to the side they agree with most when asked this or that. Alternatively, you could ask students to raise their hands, use mini-whiteboards or different coloured pieces of paper etc.
